Had a fairly easy morning before leaving for the airport, a trip of around 40 minutes. The scenery was at least visible this time and the surrounding peaks continued to amaze us. Up early and went to breakfast in a central courtyard café within the hotel. It was quite a nice atmosphere and obviously designed to be a cool area in the hot season. The temperature was comfortable here at around 17C most of the time and a little cooler at night. Up early and reorganised our backpacks as we are leaving our cases here in Guilin. After a very rushed breakfast we boarded the bus and headed to the dock for the ferry up the Li River. Had a leisurely morning as we didn't have to leave the hotel until 11:00am. We had decided that we would not eat in the hotel for breakfast as we had the morning free so I managed to do one more blog and photos before we met up with Terry and Jacquie and caught a cab (Y10) to the south gate and walked through the old town to the same place again for breakfast (as you can probably tell we are really impressed by it)!
