We arrived in the sunshine island of Bali -in the dark at 2am in a massive rainstorm....then the first of many dodgy taxi rides to our hotel where they had us booked into a twin room......good start!
Once we got up the next morning though and saw the infinity pool overlooking amazing views on the edge of the Uluwatu cliff it didnt really matter very much!
Chris used his sunbathing skills to good effect and got burnt on the first day, and we realised that Bali is a surfing hotspot - which means Australians are EVERYWHERE!
We had pre-booked a nice hotel for 3 nights but then we were on our own to find a place. We got a really nice one for about £14 for the room with aircon (luxury) - proper travellers now!

2 nights here and then off to the next spot....
