Day twenty and we were set to travel from Italy to Switzerland.
We had a bit of a sleep in, packed our stuff and checked out of our cute little B&B. Having a little time to kill we decided to take one last quick stroll around Stresa.
After this we made our way to the train station and jumped on board a train to Interlaken. We had one change over which was at Spiez and we only had an 8min layover between the two so it all worked out really well. Two and a bit hours later we had arrived in Interlaken, Switzerland.
The trip was all pretty smooth except for the lazy ticket guy at Stresa who didn't validate our Swiss Pass correctly. The conductor in Spiez was a little frustrated but sorted it out for us.
We got off the train and made it our mission to get to our B&B. For some reason without the phone using roaming we were able to use the map on the iPhone to find our B&B. That little blue dot that moves along as you go is gold. What would we do without our iPhones?
Ten minutes later we arrived at the red dot and checked in. Our B&B is the oldest B&B in Interlaken and therefore the walls are very thin, the stairs are very steep and the beams are very, very low. Ryan has already kinked his neck coming down the stairs and hit his head several times at the time of writing this.
We walked around Interlaken West for a little bit, got some take away Thai and headed back for a romantic dinner while doing the laundry again.
The washing machine and dryer takes 3CHF in 1/2CHF (50c) coins so we had to get 6CHF worth and put them all in this old-school coin slot. The coins here are all silver and very thin (really hard to pick up off a table) and 5CHF is a big coin not a note. Ryan has struggled to grasp the coins because they all look the same and the 10c and 20c is bigger then the 50c.
Anyway another lovely night doing washing and then it was bed time.
