Tuesday;; Day 36! Well I think I jinxed myself after joking about the weather yesterday lol as this morning we woke up to a sky full of whiteness. Not clouds but almost a white heavenly fog! It was pretty but...well it's fog and it's blocking the sun! Damn it haha! Our plan today is to head to a beach called Sal e Sol in Malaga which is about an hour away, but we decide to head later in the afternoon once the fog has lifted and the sun has reappeared!
We head to the pool, make lunch and at about 4pm we are on the road to Malaga. Eva mentions how we will be lucky to find a park at this beach as it's very popular, especially for my age group, and the parking is shocking! (Build a carpark then I say lol!) Once we arrive, I can see what Eva meant by the parking but you can see the heavy white fog as you look down onto the beach. It's simply sitting on the ocean and all around us leaving only 50 metres in front of us visible! We head down to the sand, which, is actually just pebbles and little tiny stones and no sand at all, (which I quite like) and unload our things. I think the atmosphere with the hazy fog is quite romantic and I almost feel like I'm in a movie for some reason! I can't explain it but it feels like time has stopped; you can only hear the ocean, not see it, and people are just sun bathing in groups around the bay. It's a small beach but you can tell it's popular for the youth as there is a big bar area with sun-beds and chairs everywhere as well as music pumping out. There are also huge rocks scattered around the edges of the bay and there are people everywhere jumping off from different heights into the water! The water is crystal clear, and refreshing and we climb up the rocks to get a better look at everyone jumping in from the top. It is quite a struggle for me to climb up; I feel like I have one metal leg that I have to lug around haha but at the top all I want to do is dive in! Very frustrating! There are boys and girls doing back flips, twists and everything and we're probably a good 7metres up from the water! I watch everyone jumping in and I do wish that I could join them but I make a promise to myself that I will come back one day soon when my knee is sorted and spend a whole weekend here!
We go snorkeling again just close to the edge and spot more fishy's and find many beautiful stones. When you come up from the water and look around, you have no idea where you are as the fog disguises everything! but it's kinda cool at the same time and like I said, makes me feel like I'm in a movie! Once the fog lifts you can start to see the coast more and the beach as a whole; I love it! Couples and families are everywhere and when you lay on the rocks, they are warm from absorbing the sun :) I ended up accidentally falling asleep planted face down on my towel with the heat of the stones warming my body and don't wake up until about 8.30pm as everyone is packing up to leave. My first siesta :)
We head back home, get changed, and at 10.30pm head to a 'Pizzeria' that the family apparently go to every year and love. I still can't believe how late we eat here! Just before we left home I honestly could have just gone straight to bed! At the pizzeria they don't do gluten-free so I end up just saying 'stuff it' and treating myself indulging in all that doughy cheesy amazing yummy goodness!!!! Naughty Chloe! Tastes better when you're not meant to have it :p
For entré we all share a delicious goats cheese, spinach and bacon (like prosciutto) salad and while we are waiting, I do a hairstyle on Alejandra as the family have been loving what I have been doing on Patricia's hair. The girls ask if I will be around when they go back to school so that I can do their hair differently every day lol! Back to the pizza, we all share what we've ordered and I must admit, it was amazing! I think I had 7 slices haha! But it was totally worth it and a good way to end our holiday before heading back to Seville tomorrow.
The past few days I haven't done much reading or English activities with the children but it's been nice to just have fun with them and be all together as a family. We hear from Jaime on his Summer camp as well and he is having a great time but it would be nice for him to be with us all too...
Tomorrow I will also be heading to the hospital to get this knee looked at but I know nothing will happen straight away; I'll probably have to see a specialist. Ergh! Come what may hey! It could be worse!
