Friday;; Day 32! So I wake up this morning and it's freezing! Raining and wind gusts; the whole lot!...........hahahaha...es broma!!!! (just kidding) hahah!!! I thought you would be sick of hearing how perfect the weather is and how hot it is compared to Adelaide's weather right now! And also, 'es broma' is my new favourite saying and it means 'just kidding' in Spanish :)
Anyway, today we go for another bike ride to a different beach a bit further out. The sand is a lot softer and the waves are calm. We spend a couple of hours swimming, playing and sunbathing together before the hottest part of the day approached. I've been wearing 50+ sunscreen here and yet you still get brown lol. I think I'm gonna move to Spain just for the weather! And just move to Sotogrande, simple. You can tell the water is different here though, icy cold compared to our beaches like Henley and the currents are a lot stronger. It's apparently the Mediterranean Sea but I swear it's the Atlantic haha! Nevertheless I don't get much choice as the kids all splash you and dunk you under before you know it!
Back at home, we eat lunch and then I spend about an hour with each child. I am required to spend alone time with each of them to improve their English confidence as well as individual play time. Albero and I go first and end up reading a Mr Men book! I used to be obsessed with them when I was younger! We read 'Mr. Strong, and the ogres!' I don't know if it was just the mood we were in but the whole story we could not stop laughing! For some reason the ogres in the story were speaking like 'Gimme ya lollipop!' and it must have just got us for some reason because I was literally crying in the end from laughing so much! At least we read the whole book haha and Albero's English is great! We then decide to play cards and I teach him a new game I've played since I was little called 'Take 2!' - apparently it's a little bit like Uno and he picks it up quickly. It doesn't take long before Alejandra wants her time so we swap and she agrees to wanting to reading the Mr Men book as well. Bad idea haha! We decide to read 'Mr Nosey and the Beanstalk'.....I can't explain it but something was obviously in the air that day as neither of us could stop laughing. I think it took about 10 minutes to read each page! I don't think I've laughed that much in forever and something about Alejandra's cute little husky voice and the way she was reading it was just making it so much harder to not laugh! The family could hear us and kept coming in laughing to see what was going on! Every time I think about Mr Strong or Mr Nosey now, I am in stitches! It's then time to spend with Patricia and we decide to play a game called Rummikub or something that I play a lot back home. But Patricia has different ideas to how we should play it and we take probably an hour to complete the game she has invented hehe!
By this time it's 7pm or there abouts so we decide to have a snack before heading for the pool. Not a bad way to spend the time really. It's still hot and bright outside and Alejandra and I spend a good hour or so playing and swimming around. Check the blog photo to see one of the pools here...
At night, Alejandra and I play football (soccer) together out in the garden while Eva goes out with a friend, Albero and Kiki go for a run and Patricia watches the Disney channel! Once Albero gets back, we decide we want to go for another cheeky swim in the pool so Alejandra comes along too and we sneak on in! This time though we are spotted by some kids and they come back with flash lights that completely scare the crap out of us!!!! Again, we are all laughing while trying to be quiet but we are lucky to not get caught. Naughty Chloe!
Another day well spent I think and a good bonding day for me and the kids.!! The weather is actually perfect and I am loving the combination of the beaches with the pools! Paradise :)
Most of tomorrow I will have off but I will be heading with the family to another beach to go snorkeling and swimming again :)
