Puno is a town on the shore of the huge lake Tititicaca. We arrived in Puno and had to say goodbye to the amazing Soledad who had been our guide through her native Bolivia and say hello to Joanna who would be our guide through her native Peru. Our first night in Puno coincided with Flo's birthday so after a little cake presentation and sing song we headed out into town to celebrate! Went to witches market and saw dried Llama Foetus's knocking about, discovered Bock (strong Bolivian beer), had surprisingly good tapas, got Bocked with Rach and Tom, Cycled worlds most dangerous road and only crashed once, met other Alex for a few bev's, spent whole day in Oliver's travels with Tom Al and Pancho watching football, met newbies - Flo (London), Liam (Gibralter), Mascha (Germany)... All very nice! Went to Cholita wrestling - bit weird.

Nice place, nice hotel, me and Tom got scary haircuts, ate some messy empinades, visited an orphanage and took the kids some pressies, took a free salsa class and sacked it off after 5 minutes.

Went to silver mine, bought some dynamite and gifts for miners, didn't get to blow stuff up as was a Sunday, watched golden globes.

Unfortunately it was a bit too wet at the salt flats to spend the final night of our crossing in the Salt hotel so we spent the night in some remote gaff that had loads of Llama's knocking about the streets... apparently some of Tysons (49%woman) rather provocative dance moves were on display that night but un/fortunately I was tucked up and in the land of nod by then so missed out on it/avoided the need for counciling.
