Unfortunately it was a bit too wet at the salt flats to spend the final night of our crossing in the Salt hotel so we spent the night in some remote gaff that had loads of Llama's knocking about the streets... apparently some of Tysons (49%woman) rather provocative dance moves were on display that night but un/fortunately I was tucked up and in the land of nod by then so missed out on it/avoided the need for counciling. On the last day of our Atacama crossing we rocked up at the train cemetery and clambered about on the decaying wrecks which was probably a bit more fun than it sounds (the train geek in me came to the fore) and got loads of cool pics before pitching up at Uyuni for our last lunch of Llama which was really tasty although having had a rather lovely encounter with a baby one being kept as a pet at one of our pitstops the day before kind of made it a little harder to enjoy especially for Rach who's obsession with them had started to become apparent. After lunch we had a butchers at how they process the salt collected on the flats for general use - think the refinement process for the gear we get at home is a little more complicated as this stuff still looked a bit grubby in the bag and prob wouldn't be too keen to chuck it on my fish & chips. Next it was time to gather our props, don the sunnies, slap on some factor 50 and head out onto the flats for some silly picture action. Although it was fairly wet we were fortunate in a way as the reflections of the clear blue sky in the water were rather cool. We still managed to get some obligatory perspective shots as the flats weren't completely submerged which was a score. Senior Pablito and his lads took us back to Uyuni where we bid them farewell and checked in to the palatial (in comparison to the previous 2 nights accommodation) hotel, freshened up and went out in search of 'the extreme fun pub' Jared had been insistent on us checking out. It transpired that the receptical's from which the cocktails were served were of a rather adult nature. Needless to say cheeks developed blushes, embarrassing photos were taken, and general smutty based hilarity prevailed, and that is all that will be said. Next stop Potosi.
