So having survived the journey and sans kip we checked into our hotel which was on the Brazilian side of the falls and all jumped in the mini bus and headed off for our first glimpse of Iguassu. And what a first glimpse it was... by Chopper swooping down from the clear blue sky with myself, Kat, Eddie, Clair, Ang and Lauren all screaming and shouting! Having not been in one before it was a real adrenalin rush and although the experience was pretty damn awesome (thanks mum) I think we all agreed it still didn't prepare us for how awe inspiring the falls really are from close up. We spent a good few hours wandering along the walkways and viewing platforms on the Brazilian side and got some amazing pics and only managed to avoid a drenching on the final platform thanks to the poncho from the Squires... Cheers guys! Next port of call was an amazing bird sanctuary where we saw the most amazing collection of Toucans, Parrots, and various winged creatures large and small. Eddie getting attacked by a rather irate Toucan with a penchant for brand new Havianas was a moment of pure comedy gold although poor Kat who was trying to overcome her intense fear of birds probably could have done without it but stuck it out like the trooper she is and got through the experience! We grabbed some beers on the way back to the hotel and rounded the day off with a few frames of pool before fatigue took hold and crashed for a much needed recharge. Iguassu day 2 was a much more up close and personal experience viewing it from the Argentinian side! First order of the day (post a bit of pant wetting having a sodding snake cross our path on route) was a ruddy good drenching on the jet boat that took us in seriously close. We than clambered up to the viewing platforms that run along the top which were simply breath taking. My slightly limited vocabulary really can't do the whole experience justice so will leave it at that for my Iguassu experience for now. Val had arranged for us and another group to visit a dudes family home for a BBQ/pool party that evening which turned out to be a quality (if not slightly bizarre) experience. After a seriously good feed and a decent amount of beving the music got cranked, the strobe lights fired up and the dry ice machine whirred into life (just your average garden party set up then). Team Wonderland (long story but that's us) quite frankly destroyed the other group with their partying skills... Eski's were emptied, shapes were thrown (as well as partially clothed people into the pool) and fun was definitely had by all with maybe the exception of our host who I don't think was expecting to be drunk dry ; ) This really is an amazing group of people and hopefully some lifelong friends are being made!

Nathan Ching Missing you bro, sounds like you are having a great time. Will be strange not having you here on turkey day. New place is looking OK, still a few boxes but fairly well sorted. Don't get too high; you'll remember it better! Looking forward to seeing lots of great photos. Love Nat.
