Milan; this would have to be one of the most modern cities we have been to thus far, high rise office buildings are more prolific in this city although not to the quantity we are used to nevertheless they were quite modern. We headed out to the Duomo after day two of the F1 for dinner and to look at yes another church; I must say this would have to be the most intricate church I have seen on our trip it was massive and made entirely of marble it was mesmerising the amount of sculptures and detail in its structure. The Duomo Piazza was full of life with crowds of people talking and hanging about I tell you what the pigeons here are popular being hand fed and getting their photos taken. Oh we'll the mind boggles I always thought they were flying rats myself!
The next night we visited the town of Cadorna and I'm catching up on my blog while waiting for our guide to see Leonardo Da Vinci's famous painting of the last supper. Yes we were early! Maybe a bit too early...
Well it wasn't what I expected I thought that I was just seeing another painting of the last supper framed in a room well I was definitely mistaken. The picture is actually about 15 meters wide and painted directly on a wall it was massive. I can go into all the things that make it special in terms of art but lets put it down to, this is what every artist measures themselves by when trying to tell a story and have their work show emotion. Da Vinci really portrayed the moment when he painted this it is quite different to versions of the last supper I remember seeing.
