Hey Guys, Well Im here in Hanoi!! We flew from Vientiane to Hanoi 4 days ago we got in quite late so we just did dinner and bed. The next day was our full day here, we did Ho Chi Minh's mausoleum and homes in the morning then spilt up to explore. I did the temple of literature, Hao Lo Prison (Hanoi Hilton), Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son temple. Then we all met up again in the afternoon to see the water puppets show. I was knackered after that so went for a siesta. We met at 19.30 for dinner to meet the new groupies but some hadn't arrived and the rest went out on their own so we didn't met until the next morning. So now there is Sue and Nick from Hull, Andrew, Penny Calum and Adie from Scotland, Lyndsey from Alberta, Erin from Sydney and Megan from Alberta (the two Alberta girls are travelling separately, just a complete fluke they are form the same place) So yesterday we set off at 8.00 and took a 4 hour bus ride to Halong bay. We had our own junk had our lunch on the boat and sailed off into the bay, about 16.00 we went to the 'amazing cave' lol for a walk and then back to our boat. The scenery is stunning a little misty but some good pictures. That night we met up for dinner (all the food on the boat was awesome fresh seafood!!) and found out that Calum had proposed to Adie and she had said yes!! So, many drinks were had and watched the stars from the top deck of the boat. This morning we stopped off at an island and walked tthe 300 steps to top viewpoint was stunning!! After we got back down the steps we had went for a swim!! The we set off back the same way we came another 4 hour bus ride and arrived back at the hotel about an hour ago just getting our stuff together now to take the overnight train to Hue, we only have one night there so might update again in Hoi An. Ciao for now!! xxxx

John Great Lora, I remember Halong Bay. We stayed on one of the islands. I think I did the cave as well, it seems to ring a bell. Ten years ago now, I'm getting old you know..... Keep up the good work. J
