How do chaps! Well ive done it 4 full days on my own not quite gone crackers, but im ready for my next organised trip! (We meet tommorrow) So i just thought i'd give you the low down on what ive been up to! Well as i said before it has been frigging hot and humid at a more or less constant +36 degrees, so i dare not leave my wonderfully air conditioned room without a plan! The first day i visited the temple at the bottom of Khao San road (don't know it's name?!) and watched the monks chanting for morning prayers, i walked around for a bit to get my bearings and found the Royal Garden beautiful place full of birds, squirrels, turtles and more importantly shade lol! In the evening i went to Santichaiprakan Park, Phra Sumen Fort and a walk down the waterfront. The next day a went back to the waterfront to the pier and caught a boat to the otherside of the Chaophraya river. I went to the Forensic medicine museum (i had to do it lol!), then back to my side of the river to Wat Suthat and the giant swing, Wat Ratchanatpa and finally walked tot he top of the Golden Mount for a panoramic view of Bangkok. Found a wicked little resturant called Hemlock for tea. The next day a took a tuk tuk (my new favourite mode of transportation!) to Tim Johnson's House, he was an American entreprenure who sold Thai silk to America, thousands of metres of it was used for the costumes in the King and I, but he went walking in Malaysa one day, no one has seen him since! Really interesting i wanted the book but it was too big!! Once i had left there the 5 year old child in me wanted to play so i went to Siam Ocean World it was brilliant! Ok then today i had a lazy start this morning, went to the National museum for a couple of hours, walked to Wat Mahathat and then the Amulet market. This evening i have been to Hemlock's again for tea to fill my boots. On the way back decided to treat myself to the feet fish (the state of my feet the fish all have full bellies now too!) and a half hour reflexology foot massage (which included her stretching my back, shoulders and neck too!) So i feel awesome now! As i say i check out of this hotel and into another to meet my final group tommorrow so ill update as soon as i can! Ciao for now xxxx
