we have reached a part of south africa called the garden route it runs from mossel bay to jefferys bay. this is a part of south africa most popular with backpackers. well after getting on the baz bus for the first time. we are travelling around south africa on the baz bus that picks us up from hostels and drops us off its a really easy way to get around and the drivers are ace. mossel bay is our first stop. so after 5 hours on the bus we finally arrived to what we were most excited about the beach!!!! but not just any beach a beach that we could roll out of bed onto! its so pretty. we are staying at the santos express train lodge which is exactly what it sounds like a converted train. its really such a strange place the town is very small but has everything we need. and after a week without being able to charge phones camaras and ipods we have found english to south african plug adapters wohoo.
on the second mornin of us being there we woke up not just to the sound of the sea but to the sight of whales in the bay!! its really an unforgettable sight. this sighting was only after a tonne of phantom sightings from a very excited charlotte. we decided that as we were by the beach there was a definate need from some sunbathin as the weather was beautiful.
its very strange for it to be so quiet away from the hussel and bussel of cape town. we have stayed here for only a couple of days. and although its been nice we are excited to move on to plattenburg bay.
