What a lovely Sunday it has been. Though the day started out cold, we had a fire in the fireplace to warm us up while drinking coffee/tea to help fortify us to plan today's adventure.
Since our fabulous cook Marisol had the day off, we decided to enjoy a relaxing brunch at Villa Santa Marina with its elegant courtyard, flowers, birds and fountain. The stroll there was relaxing and the food was delicious. I was struck by how many elderly Americans were there.
Then we met up with Henry at the Starbucks near the Parroquia and went off to the Museum of Toys. The museum had an exquisite collection of folkloric toys, dolls, masks and other regional toys and games.
By now the day had warmed up to near 80, so back to Casa Luz for a swim, a bottle of Mexican rose (surprisingly good), chips and homemade sauce verde. Tonight's dinner will be leftovers including an AMAZING lentil soup with chorizo, plantains and pineapple. That recipe is coming back with me to VT!!!
