We did a walking tour of town today. Spent some time at the town square and checked out the most beautiful Starbucks EVER. It's in an old colonial building with thick high walls and tile floors. Gorgeous! Every street offered one gorgeous colorful charming vista after another. Found the mask museum which is housed in a beautiful Inn. There are amazing views of town from every terrace at the inn called Casa de la Cuesta. The citizens here are very kind and welcoming. Occasionally there are burros transporting items up the narrow cobblestone streets. Throw a tortilla in any direction and you'll hit a catholic church built in the 1700s (or earlier!) Many historical sites in town. Plans to gain independence from Spain were created here in SMA.
