Allo,
Yesterday was our first full day with the rude people of Paris and well it was interesting. We began our day with "breakfast" although there wasn't anything but carbs, carbs, oh and did I forget to mention CARBS. We then headed out to the Musee d'Orsay which was completely Abby's idea and was a museum filled with a bunch of naked women. Abby says she didn't know they were there but well you know with Abby's mind. All I can say is that we didn't spend long in that museum. We then hit up a souviners shop and got some T shirts and I got a 100% silk Paris scarf which is BEAUTIFUL. We then stopped for lunch at a Italian restuarant. Unforunately our waitress didn't speak good English and we learned that French salads are not like American salads.
After lunch we went up 59 floors (210 meters) to see a panoramic view of Paris. It was pretty but I only knew what one thing was....The Eiffle Tower....everything else just looked like a bunch of buildings. The elevator that took us up and down was the fastest elevator in Europe...38 seconds. Next, we headed towards the Jewish Museum in Paris. We almost got lost on the way but a nice lady from Paris (one of few) helped us out. We then headed for Centre Pompidou. Cheryl hung out nearby in a cafe sipping some Coke while Ella and I headed towards the Museum. On our way, we saw a sidewalk chalk artist and a really cool moving fountain. We desided against going into the museum because the line was too long.
After that, we went back to our hotel and chilled for a while. Cheryl slept, Ella played with my iPod, and I organized what we will be doing in Paris for the next few days. Then, Ella slept while Cheryl and I read. We all got up and went to dinner. Take goodness for McDonald's becuase we can't read any of the other menus. We then headed for a local backery and picked up a chocolate chip cookie (ok but I can make better) and a apple studel thing (I didn't try it but they said it was horrible). We chilled out and eventually went to sleep.
Today: Our plan is do tour the Louvre, the Opera house, a perfume museum, and shop at the very large Galleries Laffeyette (a really big mall). We're having our breakfast delivered to our room so we don't have to endure the horrificness like we did yesterday. We hope today doesn't envole too much walking (and stairs) because our feet (and legs) are beginning to hurt pretty bad. We will hopefully fill everyone in a little later tonight. We love and miss everyone very much.
Hugs and Kisses,
Abby, Ella and Cheryl
