Well after a four day course of scuba diving I am now an officially PADI certified diver!!! Was totally addicted after the first dive and once we had done all the skills and stuff we did four dives over two days and it was amazing! We went to a few different dive sites around the island, the visibility was better in some than others but what we did see was unbelieveable! Stingray, pufferfish, eel, banner fish, scorpion fish (yes they can sting you!) butterfly fish, trigger fish AND we found Nemo! soooo cute! It was an amazing experience and after the last dive we wanted to go straight back in! Had no problems with the dodgy ear thank god!
So now we are certified and licensed and can't wait to try some other dive sites around the world...definitely hope to dive the Great Barrier Reef when we get to Australia...if our budget allows us to! I can't believe hoe much I love Scuba Diving...talk about an expensive hobby to fall in love with!
After we got back (and it was pouring rain might I add!) we went back to our little hut and our pet Ghekko (who now has a companion) and got ourselves showered and dry....although being dry only lasts as long as the monsoon rain storms hold out! And we headed out with Bex and Cassie to celebrate being certified! Went for some proper Thai dinner but unfortunately steph got food poisoning and we spent the night in the hospital....but its all about the experience! She is totally fine now thank god and ready for our next adventure!
Unfortunately we don't have any photos of us in our scuba gear as it was waaaay too wet to get the camera out on the boat cos it rained ALOT. Never mind the fact that we were hanging on for dear life so we wouldn't tip over with the tanks on our backs!!! But the next time we scuba I promise there'll be photos! So now we get ready to leave our little scuba island which we have come to love (despite the rain) but I'd love to come back one day preferably not in the rainy season! Onwards and upwards to our next adventure...next stop Krabi!
