ok so hello!

am very sorry that it is now my 3rd actual day but it's only my 1st full day here!

flight was long but ok, good entertainment n food - just got a bit fidgity towrds the end of the 2nd 7hr one!!

1st long haul...

ok so wen we arrived we were a bit scared of not being allowed in the country as visas had not been sorted.

but we were granted a 30day pass n walked in to bangkok airport!

managed to get a taxi it took 45 minutes to get thru bangkok, we pulled in off a main street on to Yaowarat rd - China town this was a shock pure infusion of london piccadilly circus (without congestion rules) meets china town pure mayhem. people driving in all lanes undertakin overtakin upsidedown takin its crazy!!

i spotted the hotel before the taxi driver we got our rooms which i am thrilled about as they look just like in the pictures on the net: www.shanghai-inn.com check it out!

we went off to explore the streets made it 1/ way and bk again dwn our street Yaowarat b4 we cudnt handle it anymore n needed food.

people sellin food on the pavement fills almost every gap but sleepiness got the better of me i wanted something easy that i knew what it was...

went in a restaurant that sells sharkfin soup... yipeee hopefully they all soon be extinct n i can swim in the sea again! (sorry shark fans) Chose this place as it had pictures and english names had sweet n sour chicken! lovely jubbley

was so tired so crashed!

woke up 2day at 11am so sleepy!!

pye needed a thai sim card n wanted to go to the MBK centre which he'd heard about.

went outside to find it boilin hot!!! and sunny just wot the doctor ordered!

we walked for about an hour and a half, and met a very friendly man along the way wanted to tell and show us everything- i had to make excuses and leave was getin too much.

after thinkin i was lost.. we finally stumbled upon this centre Its great massive probably the biggest i've ever seen. only prob was no money so no shopping for me - if you come here bring cassssh! theres so much to buy. pye didnt buy anything apart from the sim card so seemed like a wasted journey. finally eat somit bout 2.30pm noodles n chicken in dark sauce tasted slightly bbqy greay for brekki! i need some toast n marmite and a cup of tetleys tea pls.

got a taxi bk to the hotel and had a bit of a rest the heat is hard to get used to after sunny england!

i decided it would be a good idea to go for a walk aroundthe town try and find a few things. we walked down charoen krung street it runs paralell to the one the hotel is on bu is behind - this is just as manic as our street but seems to have an older style. both streets are connected with little allyways which have the craziest markets ever in. most seemed to be selling food but i have never seen this food before not any of it. the sights n smell were too much to take in and after a bbq noodle breakfast a bit too sickly to handle.

we walked for about 3hrs, but the heat, tiredness and lack of convo was seriously getting to me. i wanted to go bk to the hotel after walking aimlessly down hundreds of streets trying to find the way back - we gave in o the conning TUKTUK drivers. this is one of the most insanest rides i've ever had coming close to that of riding a camel but def as scary as you have cars etc comming at you from every angle, and they drive so fast for a motorbike carrying a cart - scary!!!!!!!!

canteat anything tonight as still feel queezy from the smells o.k so i'm lyin had a whole bag of crisps to myself was only thing i could find that wasn't chinese or thai.

well tomorrows a new day... one that i'm looking forward to

going to check out all the tourist hotspots.
