Firstly I can now say that I have seen three moose together, which is apparently quite rare!! I didn't manage to get a photo but it was quite exciting to see them. My second week has definitely been more hectic than the first. The cows were due to calve last Friday and they have definitely reached their due date!! My first week at Little Rainbow Ranch has been quite interesting. The cows (mostly black angus) get fed every day so that takes a fair amount of time with two tractors going (one silage the other hay). Also when it is really cold you have to put straw out for them so they have somewhere warm to sit. The first leg of the journey involved flying from Brisbane to Vancouver via Auckland. Miller kindly dropped me at the airport at about 10 (Pa suggested I get there at 7) and I spent the 3 hours until my flight watching Revenge….cheers Tik!!!
