The past two weeks have seen the culmination of a few things. Baling has officially finished and the balers have been cleaned off and parked in the shed. I must say I am a little pleased about this as there will be no more days bouncing around in the field for me! Well, where to start??? I suppose the beginning will do, which kicked off with an invitation from Sheridan to go to Calgary for September long. My obvious response was 'Hell yes!' but I had to check with Perry to see if we were busy. And of course, the one weekend I want to go away we are working…urrgghh!! So since my last update, there have been a few things happening. The weekend of the 18th I went to a horsemanship clinic run by a guy called John Tilley. He was quite a nice guy and a feaking awesome rider. It is so humbling to see good people ride horses, although he does spend all of his time riding/training them so it is to be expected I suppose. Nevertheless it was a very interesting weekend and I learnt quite a bit. There were some nice people there as well...

Since arriving back at the ranch after my 10 day whirlwind adventure through parts of Canada life has been quite tame in comparison. I spent more time working with the young horses and I suppose that provided some excitement at times. There are 4 who are still entire males and they can be quite the handful compared to the other 3. They are all only partly halter broken really but I managed to get saddles on 2 without too much hassle. I am hoping to go to a horse...
