Sorry about the photos that are not showing on this site, being the complete technophobe that I am I have no idea how to fix it, so no photos just yet.
From Denver we took our first Greyhound to a town called Grand Junction, it was a great experience. We travelled with 3 people off America's most wanted, a serial killer and one total nutter, who took great delight in yelling at the bus driver about how much money he made compared to the poor old driver. I somewhat doubt this tale or otherwise he probably could have afforded to wash his clothes and have his driver take him to Grand Junction rather than slumming it on the bus.
Anyway as a result of said bus trip, all plans to catch the bus to Vegas were abandoned and a one way car rental organised, but that's another story.
From Grand Juntion we drove to Moab, Utah. It has to be the most beautiful piece of country side we've ever seen. We visited Arches National Park and Canyonlands NP and Dead Horse Point State Park ( where Thelma and Louise drove off the cliff at the end). Words will do it no justice, around every corner we were proclaming it was the best view we had ever seen. The new camera has copped a workout ( lucky for you all that I can't work out how to upload them).
We saw our first snake at Arches NP, Jez of course chased it across the park, and I swear I heard him say "crikey you're a beauty" as he tried to grab it by the tail!! Only kidding about the grabbing, but you know i'm telling the truth about the Steve Irwin impressions.
We were fortunate enough to do a ranger lead walk into a canyon called the Fiery Furnace, again scenery that can't be described. We got caught in an amazing dust storm while we were down there. Winds of about 65 miles per hour ( so said the ranger) and sand whipping against you like razors. we got very wind and sand burnt, but nicely exfoliated.
Well my $13 an hour internet is going to run out, so that's all for now. Hope you are all well and once I win on the slots in Vegas we'll be able to afford another update, but for now it's back to the pool and on to our lilo's : o )
