After 5 weeks of eating nothing but trans fats and foods high in e numbers, two scurvy riddled travellers decided that they had done all the preparation necessary for a 20 mile bike ride, so armed with a flimsy map and a bottle of water they set out to bike the Golden Gate bridge.
The first part of the ride was a huge success, the sun was shining no-one fell off, spirits were high. So to celebrate the riders stop for a delicious brunch of bacon and eggs and mint choc chip ice-cream in Sausalito. High on the additives from the ice-cream they decide they will bike further to the Redwood Grove.
After another 8 miles or so things are not so chirpy. The riders were starting to feel like they had been shagged by an elephant, things weren't so comfortable, and they only had a very short space of time to make it back for the last ferry, otherwise they would have to ride back over the bridge to San Francisco ( another 10 miles on the bikes...... a fate worse than death)
They start to head back towards Sausalito, every bump in the road is agony on the nether regions. They make it back in time for the ferry, park their bikes on board and find a good seat, girl biker gets sea sick the moment they sit down. She get greener and greener throughout the 30 minute harbour crossing. Where are some trans fats to calm her down?
The travellers return the bikes, swagger ( like John Wayne only cooler) back to the hotel, and decide that there will be no more two wheeled adventures on this trip.... now where is Taco Bell?!
