-New Bond movie premiere last night, pretty good reviews
-Bloc Party drummer in hospital with collapsed lung due to aggressive drumming technique...
-I'm a Celebrity has started (kill me now)
-'Girls Aloud' singer Sarah Harding has hit out at Victoria Beckham's stick-thin figure, claiming she looks 'ill'. Pretty sure Sarah Harding is a healthy size 2...
-Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are getting married in Rome this week. Will it be a Catholic or Scientologist ceremony?
-Jude Law and Sienna Miller split again
-Westlife is No 1. (Can I be killed twice?)
That is all.

Hewo Kitty Cat!!!
As Liz has mentioned poor old Britney's divorce thought it only right to deny rumours linking me with the split. Didn't want you worrying on the other side of the World - just for the record myself and Kylie have never been happier!!!
Grandma is chuffed to learn that you have visited one of her family's tribal heartlands ie. Cairns. OK, so most people have one or two transported convicts in their family tree, but enough to found one of the largest settlements in Oz...... oh, dear! Still. don't give into your DNA and behave yourself - at least your relatives were fully inclusive and travelled 'tub class'.
Be careful, those bits were Mad Max lived looked quite rough!!!! Make sure you have a waltz with Matilda for me!!!!
Lots of kissy wissys

Scuba Diving was indeed fantastic, saw nemos and loads of really cool things. Am defiantely doing to do some more diving at some point. Saw a jelly while snorkelling so swam away fast (its killer jelly season here) and a sea snake (which are poisnous!)
Also had a golden orb spider outside our room in Cape Trib, luckily we didnt see it till the next morning (thank goodness for beer is all i can say). It was HUGE! Have a great photo of it!
Anyways must dash

Good news Cath - your lot scored TWO goals against Wigan. The bad news, they potted 3 against Charlton. Sorry - still bottom but now a point adrift rather than just goal diff.
Boro beat West Ham and are now 12th, Newcastle drew away at Man City and now 18th still in the drop zone.
Just had our wettest Fireworks Party ever, my fingers are still numb!
Hope all well with the scuba-ing.
Liz
Oh my god, Charlton won a football match!
I heard you have cockroaches in your hostel - tee hee. How was the jellyfish scuba diving?
Did you hear Britney is divorcing Kevin Federline. 24 and two divorces, silly girl, she should share them around!

Alreet little sis.
Jealous jealous jealous jealous. It is freeeeeeezing here.
I cannot believe you just ruined the Neighbours plot for me. Dammit. Now, I don't have a reason to skive off work for the next year.
All fine here, went to Markeaton with Abi and Mum for fireworks, they were pretty good, but no toffee apple action. We went for a walk today round the park and then stuffed ourselves over a pub lunch. I'm still so full and it's 11pm.
Have to look for a flat with Ollie this week. May end up in Camden, party central!
Right, I am going to bed, it is coooooold.

Hi Cath, did it again sorry abt the 3.30am txt but CHARLTON were briefly off the bottom but Sheff Utd beat Newcastle 1-0 so rising off the bottom and placing you back there - but only on a one goal diff with NEWCASTLE!!! Boro also lost but are still 15th and I fear will join our other two house teams in the relegation zone in due course.
Your picture of Melbourne city shows the Royal College of Surgeons amongst the trees in the distance - was there a month or two ago!
Have a great weekend in Melbourne and safe trip up to Cairns where the weather may be warmer.
Chicago is freezing but no snow. Home Sunday night. Mum is teaching all of next week.
Thinking of going to Oz en famille next October - conference in Sydney called 'Pancreas in Paradise' 21-22 October and lots of time to venture to Perth and Melbourne around it.

Hi Cath - sorry if I got my time zones mixed up and woke you with a text too early? Oslo last week - Chicago this week, don't know whether I am coming or going. Met up with Liz in London last night where she showed me a red plastic fork - somehting to do with halloween I believe.
Very sunny here in Chicago but also v.cold. No lake-effect snow this year but traffic is as ever.
Hope you are enjoying Melbourne - it looked near perfect to me. Can understand why it has won the 'most liveable city in the world' title twice - only Vancouver has done that too.

Gday Cathsorry couldnt help myself
Sounds like you're having a fantastic time, jealousy does not even come close what I'm feeling! I'm currently in a room that has no windows, has painted black walls and smells of BO, sat in front of two computer monitors trying to work out what happened in France about 180,000,000 years ago (not that I care). Im also currently shopping for summer internships with mining companies, bring on Eritrea!
As Liz gave you some boring world news as gossip...here are some stories from around the world that are a lot more interesting -
- A truck spilled two tonnes of pigs' heads on to a road in western Germany.
- A Japanese man ate 97 burgers in 8 minutes in Tennessee.
- The world's oldest bee, around 100,000,000 years old has been found in amber at Oregon State Uni.
- Horse-drawn carriages in Blackpool are going to be fitted with nappies to keep the Prom free from pooh.
That is all.
Drink plenty of kangeroo urine, I mean Fosters, for me.
Enjoy yourself,
Chris.
Your little (though not littlest) brother.
