on te day of his departure he was lead by one the the leads men to the green chapel to fulllfill his part of the bargain with the green knight. when they arrived the man tierd to convice him to leave and he wouldnt telll anyone that he feld from the green knight. but he said he coulnt, he wouldnt be seen as a coward. as he came to the green gaint he saw no castle but a green chapel insted. when the green knight came he told sir gawain to wait while he sharpen his weapond tryin to intimidate him. he took oneblow to sir gawain but he didnt fall, he took another and he didnt fall, on his thrid try he cut him but he didnt fall. sir gawain jumped up and told him if he recived another blow he would be urged to fight back because it was not part of the bargain. the green knight told him it was for the green lace he didnt tell the lord about for which he had recived the blows. the green knight was actually the lord of the castle which he had stayed at for the pasta few days.
