Another 350km to drive today...
We dropped off the one honeymooner couple Michelle and Tom at Moshi as they were going to climb Kilimanjaro.
At our shop stop we were SURROUNDED by locals trying to sell us stuff; something we were about to get used to very soon).
Similar thing when we had lunch (as we generally just stop anywhere on the side of the road or at a petrol station or something). Except this time with kids!
We were surrounded!!
We give them our leftovers afterwards and they scramble for it. It's quite sad really..
I went up the front of the truck today where there's like a 8 seat bit round a table there and all the one group of aussies have been sitting there but I went to join them and discovered just about all of them are planning on scuba diving in Zanzibar-so I'm going with them I've decided!
I've also thought about carrying on the tour and have the prices; it's expensive, but I'm having so much fun and the people are so amazing! I would carry on to Swakopmond in Namibia..but then would have to skip Cape Town and change flights.. Just too awkward I'm afraid...
On arrival at the campsite we had this massive group of kids like running alongside the truck and screaming and laughing; it was so wonderful! What a reception! Becs gave this one kid some crackers when we stopped on the side of the road and had the best readtion; she said thank-you which is amazing first of all! And then she just clutched them and ran off with the biggest smile on her face and like looking and praying up to the heavens..it was the cutest thing ever.
Oh and I upgraded!! It only cost 5000 tanzanian shillings which is all of about $3! It's just a dorm but it has its own shower and toilet, mosquito nets and a fan! I'm excited!
