Muruia Springs enroute were Japanese, really smelly (like rotten eggs), black algae floating in them and baking hot, not the most pleasant experience and whilst sitting in them we did question what we were doing. To prove our point further though once showered and sat in the coffee shop in walked Sean on his way back from an interview!! With a speeding ticket in tow, clearly he was in a rush to get back to us. Only joking apparently he was looking at a plane! So we head off in convoy back to his Mum's.
Arrived at Mum's (Elaine), and she'd made up our bed complete with electric blanket and fresh towels. She even invited us to come back and live here next summer - Sean, how much did you pay her?! Guess what! We then headed to the pub, where Fiona and I shared a beef hotpot (we don't eat whole meals anymore), and all three of us shared several jugs of Tui around the fire. A true local little town pub, there was not much to amuse us, just a few drunk truckers, so we headed back to the ranch to watch a NZ film - Stickmen - it was actually very good and altered our opinion slightly on the NZ film industry. Over a few bottles of red wine, Sean kindly provided us with the equipment to record American Idiot (or Brent's Song).
The next morning we head off on our journey once more, leaving hitch hiker #1 behind (for now).
