Just woke up at 6am on the dot again here, thursday. Woke up at the same time yesterday for some reason wide awake and starving. Yesterday morning libs n I went for a early morning walk which was interesting to see the city when it's not so busy. On our way back we got coffees and choc crissoints (wrong spelling i know) and brought them back for jo n gez. The bakeries are amazing here, not to mention they're baguettes. After hanging around the apartment for an hour or two we headed off on foot to the eifel tower. Of course stopping on the way for some more french pattesseries. It was probably about 30-45 minute walk but was worth it. It was cool seeing the tower, although the top level was closed it was still bloody high up on the second level. You could see all of Paris from up there. After that we caught a cab to 'Catacombes', which was my suggestion. It's an underground cemetary dating back to late 18th century. Was pretty cool and creepy, their would have literally been tens of thousands of dead peoples bones down there all stacked up.
Following our adventure underground we sat down for some more baguettes and slowly headed back in the direction of the apartment. We had planned to see the arch today as well but as the day progressed we were all more scattered and out of it, so headed back for a rest. On the way back we checked out two massive churches which was cool, it's hard to imagine how they could have built such detailed and huge structures so long ago.
After resting up for a couple of hours we headed out again with the aim of heading to the arc. Stopped on the way at an irish 'pub' nearby for a drink and then began the walk. We then stopped at a fasta pasta sorta joint on champs elysees (the big ass avenue in paris). It was average but we were starving so it was ok. Then we came to the realisation that we were all rooted and should probably head home. We bought disney land tickets and enquired about soccer tickets for saturday, headed home and called it a night.
Today we're planning on seeing the arc, the girls want to go shopping (wooh) and then I think we're attempting to see notre dam and/or the luve. Yes i am aware my spelling of french landmarks sucks =] I might even suss out a local gym whilst the girls hit up the shops.
Time to get up and find some coffee me thinks; liking paris so far, beautiful city and the architecture is quite amazing. Have to try some frogs legs and snails too before we go.

Michael Nelms Perhaps I will get there one day. The Arc and also the Paris art collection would be so very nice to see. The food and wine would be great to experience too. Jim (one of my swimming friends) loves the southern regions of France. Dad
Joel When you get back I'll have to hassle you about what to go and see when I'm over there!
Alex Kesby Gotta see the Louvre (that's how it's spelt b****) even to just see the Mona Lisa and the statues, the detail is amazing down to veins. When your at the Arc D'Triomphe check out the driving around it, it's scary. Have fun kids
