I tangoed in the streets of Buenos Aires!

Ahhh, my last full day in Argentina and I learned to tango, well sort of. I went to a very touristy but quaint and colorful neighborhood of BA called La Boca. It´s famous for its colorful buildings which were originally painted like that when the Italian immigrants came and were embarassed about their houses. They ¨borrowed¨paint from the shipyard and there you go. The rest is history.

Besides dancing in the streets myself, I had a confusing conversation with an old woman who was sweeping her steps and she was very curious about me. I took a picture of her, she was too cute. What is it with me and the old folks now? Am I in the wrong profession?!

I went to the theatre last night to watch a Tango show. Not only was the atmosphere wonderful but the live music, dancing, and food were fanstastic. Again, I had a table for the sola Americana, ha, but the perk was that I didnt have to share my bottle of wine that came with dinner! Ive worked the system....

Went out dancing later that night and stayed out till almost 3am with the Argentinians. They have some great nightlife here and I cant say no to that! A very memorable last evening here. Now I have just finished getting a pedicure and you guessed it....a massage! whoohoo! SO NICE. I did keep thinking to myself, this guy has got it easy compared to the nasty massages I had to give, hahaha. It´s all good.

Off to Peru again tonight. Will try to write once more there before I venture back state side. A little depressing but reality awaits and it will be nice to see family and friends again. Oh, just to make you all hate me even more...Im going to Hawaii in July with Robert...does life get any better?! He´s fantastic and I cant wait to be on the beach relaxing with him!
