Up , breakfast then we hired a long tail boat for 2.5 hours to visit the Temple of the dawn ( which was amazing with a huge golden buddah) and the Royal barge museum. We then went through the waterways which was a lock and canal system to prevent flooding. We were able to see how the Thai people lived . Most in real poverty in tin and wood accomodation that looked like it could fall down at any time. Each person still had a smile for us - it is after all called the land of the smiles.A guy from the floating market paddled over and sold us a wooden from too!
We then headed to chinatown for chinese new year and waited 2 hours to watch the procession , and there was none!- thats 2 hours i wont get back! Headed via Tuk Tuk to Khoa San Road , a wild market / street of pubs , young hippies . Had a full meal , drinks ( which were great) for 12 quid!Tuk Tuk home.
