Today we had to sit through our "time share talk". Our representative, Jerrell, was a very young man, painfully awkward, obviously very new. He knew next to nothing about what he was supposed to do. But he was very nice and quite earnest so we cut him some slack. Of course we were given the hard sell by his superior, but as soon as we said that we really were not going to buy, they cut us loose. We were promised to be out in 2 hours, and 3 hours later we were out and off exploring Williamsburg.
Not having any kind of plan, we drove towards the town centre and parked near the historic colonial area. There were lots of really old buildings and a closed off road where there were shops. We parked and walked around the shops. It was quite busy. Towards the later afternoon the school groups were set loose on the shopping district area. OMG. The busiest shop then was the candy store. LOL.
We had lunch at a real pub, though they called it a gastropub, due to the food being fancier. I had a ploughmans lunch (see picture) and Garry had fish and chips. Both were very good.
Still recovering from my back injury, but literally no pain today. A bit achy in the evening. Thank goodness, this trip could have been torture if it was still bad.
We drove by the next resort that we are staying to see where it is. It is closer to restaurants and shopping.
Spent the evening in our room chillaxing. Not exciting, but we both are getting old and needed to recover a bit more from the drive down here.
Oh ya, the weather today was 23•c for a high. It was mostly cloudy, a bit humid and rained lightly.
