A day of contrasts. It was sunny and 4•c in Ottawa. Picked the kids up for brunch. Mikey and Morgan and James. We took them to Tutti Frutti -yummy. Dropped them back at POW then off to start our adventure.
Drove down through the Thousand Islands Park and over the border there. The border guard was quite humorous. Asked where we were going and why. We said we were going to Williamsburg for it's history and for our vacation. He said, "How many holidays do you Canadians have? No wonder your economy sucks!" LOL. Funny guy. Laughed with us and then told us to have a good day. Best border crossing ever!
We then travelled through New York State. It went down to 1•c and we went through light snow. The hills looked pretty with the light dusting of snow. Once into Pennsylvania the snow ended and the temp went up. It rained lightly for a bit, then gradually cleared up and ended up very sunny. The temperature quickly climbed to 19•c! Lovely. Aaahhhh!
We pushed on to Gettysburg for the night and got a motel. Love Gettysburg! Went out and got a sub and took it back to the room.
My back was good all day until the last hour. I stretched wrong and pulled something and it started to spasm again. Nothing I can't handle, but glad to get into bed with my heating pad.
A good day driving.
