Getting ready for 4th camping trip. This one is more of a 'travel trip', where our main purpose is to visit with my sister and her family and the camper is more of a 'motel.'
I know that my husband is none too pleased about the trip as it means 4 hours on the road and I still don't think he likes this camper...too many things going wrong with it. I am hoping at some point he will see that the advantages of rest/relaxation outweighing the aggravation of 'setting up camp' and adapting when things go wrong. I am also hoping, as we get more and more acclimated to camping, that less things will go wrong.
I will miss having my doggies with me (Macy, the bird, is coming.) One of the plusses of buying the camper was saving money on boarding the dogs by taking them with us on trips. But fear of the air conditioning stopping or the incessant barking (not that we haven't heard alot of that from other camps) if we should be gone for a while, keeps me from taking them on trips where we won't be at the campsite almost the entire time. There is an alarm system that will alert you if temps go too high or too low, but at this point, it is cost prohibitive.
As usual, Randy brought the camper home the day before our trip, so I can load it and take care of anything else that needs to be done before we leave tomorrow. I fixed the bathroom plumbing while the camper was parked at the storage spot and will check to see how well I did later today by pouring water into the sink...
We will be staying at Cottonwood Campground, about 3 minutes away from Cheryl's house. If this works, we may do it again due to the proximity. I am just praying the trip will go well and Randy will have a positive outlook on the trip.
