Well a lot has happened since March....
I'll start with Easter; on Easter Saturday after a boozy night in the city on good Friday rob and I went to see Alice in Wonderland 3D, it was ok. Rob liked it. On Easter Sunday we went to the fish market in the city with Anna, David Marianne (my cousin) and Dean (Marianne's BF) we all had a yummy lunch in the sun with a bottle of wine. We then went to Leichardt which is Little Italy.
It was a lovely day.
Rob at this point was working for Hurley in Brookvale so only a 20minute commute and he was still late! Although I was meant to finish at Darrell Lea on Good Friday I had a few more weeks of shifts which were handy for the pennies.
The weekend after Easter Rob and I went to the Easter Show at the Olympic ground. That was a hot day... We had fun and we saw diving pigs, cows, stunt girls on horses, the Hilux Heroes V8, some dirt bike racer people and cool fireworks. We also sampled yummy wine and food :-) we didn't give into buying as show bag!!!
I think the next few weeks we just worked and worked... Rob got a new job at Initiative Media in their accounts dept and then at Channel 9 in their accounts department (he has been there for 3 weeks and at time of press still is!). I got a job at Garden Brasserie in Neutral Bay which is the suburb just before the harbor bridge; so am working Bay View Hotel still and Garden. Rob also got a waiter job at Blue Plate an American style food restaurant (which happens to be next door to Garden) so he does channel 9 in the day and then 4 nights a week he does Blue Plate. Both Garden and Blue Plate are brand new (rival) restaurants. The girls at Garden and I joke we are like Romeo and Juliet working in the rivals restaurant!!!
On Anzac Day we got up v early to go to a 5.45am service in Mona Vale with Anna, it was raining so it was held indoors. We then had breakfast served by the veterans, rob had a 6am beer! We then went home to bed. that night Rob and I went boozing in the city with Raj and Jonathan from Bay View, we went to Marble Bar at Hilton and they had a cool live band and then to Star Bar for cheesy music. There were loads navy and army boys out in their uniforms, most of them very drunk. I danced with a sailor! Rob found $100 on the floor on the way home GOOD TIMES!
2 weekends ago Andrew (my cousin) and Saroeun (his wife) came to visit from The Gold Coast; on the Sunday we had a BBQ.On the Monday night whilst A & S visiting friends Anna, Marianne and I went to the opera house to see Giselle :-) it was amazing. I think it looks un finished in there because it is very concrete and pillars stick out from the walls.... but the dancing was amazing.
Last weekend David, Anna, Marianne, Kathy (Marianne's god mother) Jason (Kathy's son), Ada (Jason's wife), Rob and I went to Dunes for breakfast as it Mothers Day. The banana bread with strawberry jam is lush (you'll like it dad, we'll take u there when u come) I then went to work at Garden, I worked 9 hours! Rob also worked the evening at Blue Plate.
This weekend we are both working so that's v unexciting!!! but only for 6 more weeks as we then leave to drive up the East Coast to meet my family in Cairns (can't wait too see you guys) on Monday I went to look at possible vans and Rob is going on Saturday then we are going to book it on Sunday - if Smyth books his flights....
Well that's all I have to tell u for now
CONGRATS TO SIAN FOR PASSING FOR DRIVING TEST
Love C & R xx
