Today we attended devotional at freeset. All 170 women were present and they were in charge of the devotional time. Of course we could not understand the words but we knew what they were saying and singing.
After devotional we walked to another business called Sari Bari. They are associated with freeset. They have three locations and and work with high risk girls. Sari Bari buys used saris and makes them into throws, pillow shams, and scarves.
After this we went to lunch and had a traditional Indian meal. This means eating with only you right hand. It was composed of rice, flat bread and several different meats in sauces. We had a time learning to Break bread with Only our right hand.
After lunch we went to innologic. They also work with the girls. They produce electronics, water filters and journals.
While walking to these sights we are in the back allies of Calcutta. It is hard to imagine a worse lace to live.
