DAY 25: BOSTON BOUND!
This morning we returned to Philadelphia's 30th Street Station to board the Acela Express for Boston.
While planning the holiday, when I saw this journey was the best part of 5 hours, I thought we'd shell out the extra coin and go first class - and I'm glad we did, cause it made for a real comfy ride.
The highlight probably came about an hour in, when Nic and Josh caught their first glimpse of the famous Manhattan skyline as the train passed through New York - just enough to wet the appetite before we return in a few days time.
After a few hours more, we arrived safely at our destination and checked into the Hotel Commonwealth which as the name suggests, sits right on and overlooks Commonwealth Ave.
For dinner tonight, we sussed out one of the two restaurants at the hotel - an oyster bar (but just don't tell Josh that's what the deep fried thing was in his mini-burger, cause he gulped it down!)
Don't know what tomorrow holds, but Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox, is right behind our hotel. Perhaps a tour of the old ball park may be in order?
