Hiya Brooke wow how relieved am I to see your message - I thought you'd been swimming in the creek and been eaten by crocs!!! Only kidding - glad to hear you're fit and well and enjoying life in Oz. It sounds beautiful - just up your street all those rainforest animals! Everyone here is OK and when I ring Grandma and Mark at the weekend I'll let them know what you're up to. Jenny's been poorly and had to have her eye removed but to say she's 17 yrs old she's made a great recovery. Anyway I'll go now (it's pouring down here) as I've got to take Alfie up the fields before it gets dark.
Take care, lots of love, Aunty Ruth x
Brooke!
Hello everyone! I'm so sorry ive not been in touch, i guess i became lazy, as ive been here six months now & the newness as worn off! Ive been on the sunshine coast since I stayed with Ian in Mooloolaba that weekend. He had to leave to go back to Roma & work.I looked for work for a few weeks & stayed in backpackers.Ian come back for his friends wedding, which was so amazing! We stayed at their house for that weekend in Maroochydore. The wedding was at forest glen, set in the rainforest, surrounded by tall trees & tropical birds. It was all very relaxed, we even had a glass of beer in our hand as they were exchanging their vows! The food was exceptional & overall a perfect day. We also stayed with some other friends of Ians, who live in Mudjimba, on the sunshine coast. While we we there we climbed Mt Coolum! Nothing like Everest or anything, but i did feel like id achieved the impossible when i reached the top.I'm wwoofing again near Noosa, which is the most beautiful place on the sunshine coast, even if the people are a little pretencious! It as clean natural beeches, set back in small coves, with a national park full of thick green forest & mountains all around.I'm staying with alovely family who have three youg boys, on a five acre small holding.Their extended family consist of:a calf called lottie! two dogs, two horses, lots of chooks & a baby carpet python.I do lots of digging & sweating here! I was preparing the animal feed in the shed one day & over in the corner, hanging from a beam, was a six foot long, Hugh carpet python! I took pics of it & touched its tail before it slithered away...Go Steve! after here, wait for it...Im staying at a Buddist retreat with Monks for a week haha! I think we will get along just fine! Aint shaving my head though! After that im going back to Roma with Ian, because he as found me a job out on a station, at his friends place who is also a physio.Ill be mustering cattle on motorbikes,& occasionally helping out with the children. Its an hour from Roma, so ill get to see Ian on weekend. Its good money & i get my own cottage at the side of the house. ill probably stay for afew months, even if it kills me!.Ian as been having problems trying to sell is half of the buisness so our trip is postponed until sept, which means i have to apply for another years work visa.Who knows when ill be returning to England! I doubt ill want to stay for the full year though.I cant believe it, as i should be going home next week, if id not extended my ticket.I do feel like ive been here a lifetime though! anyway ill try my best to update you all & im definatly going to send some more pics back home.love you all xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi Brooke sorry I haven't posted a message for a while but there's been a technical problem with the site. Just been to Grandmas for the weekend and called at your house and ended up at the quiz night at the Crown with your mam and Bob (we didn't win but had a laugh - your mam beat Bob at pool 2-0 she's like a professional pool player!!) Jak looks great with his blond hair and Josh had grown loads. Things seem a lot better. Where are you at the moment? Ian looks nice your mum had pinned up the photos of you and him on the kitchen door. What are you doing for Easter? I've got a house full. Naomi's boyfriend Oli is coming from Bristol for a few days then he's got an interview in London and Joel will be back from the Orkneys. Uncle Tad and Dominic have just come back from a football tour of Germany. Their Under 15s won both matches one by 8 goals to nil!! Anyway hope you're still enjoying life in Oz. Keep in touch and post some more pics!!
Lots of Love, as always, Aunty Ruth x

Hi Skeleton Winged sea bream !
Just read your message and i'm so glad that you've arrived safely and that your in the arms of a lovely caring man. Its so nice that you stopped off to say hi and also have a break from the outback so that you can shave your hairy long legs and armpits and have a soak in the bath to wash away all the bugs and dust from your wooly wig, ( just kidding ).
You should go to see The Hills Have Eyes 2 at the cinema because at least you will have Ian to hide behind when it gets too much. I,m going to see this new film on friday but I,ve forgotten what its called, its got Sandra Bulluck in it and it looks brilliant.
I,m off to Marrakesh on the 26th of this month to film a small video of the SPANA hospital there so that I can play it on stage at my charity dinner so that people can see what really goes on behind the scenes of the charity. I,m going to present on camera and film it like a little documentary so that more people will start to support SPANA.
Anyway i've got to go has i have lots of jobs to do.
I love you lots and thankyou for that message you wrote to me it was both hillarious and very moving.
i'LL KEEP WRITING !
love the small brained over grown wood crab x x x x x x x x
Brooke From Roma!
Hi People! I ended up in Roma on my way to Brisbane...haha! I'm staying with Ian & his house mates, Stacey & Libby who also work at the physio centre. One is a speech therapist & the other helps people with chronic illness to exercise their limbs.I arrived on Monday & i was certain i wouldnt be stopping off but Ian had made a real effort & organised two days working along side his vet friend for me, which in the end fell through due to insurence reasons;however, i'm glad i came & took a week out, just to relax & feel like a resident of the country for a change instead of a traveller.Ill be leaving sunday, as ive a lift back to Brisbane.Ive dropped on the big race weekend called the pinic races, so im going to them on saturday, which will be a great new aussie experience for me.Its kind of weird staying in a house again, especially a nice modernised one with a hugh flat screen tv, its a treat for me from sleeping in that dodgy room full of biting insects back in Tambo haha! Ill be putting some new pics on my site before i leave here. Some will be of Tambo & some of the race weekend for you all to see, seen as though i'm feeling generous! I couldnt spend any longer in Roma cos im not working & having to shop everyday to keep me occupied while everyone else is at work so im keen to move on to the next place to search for job.Got to dash bye4now xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxkeep in touch all those with broken fingers!xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Brookes Last Day In Tambo!
Hi all! yeah, its my last day here in the outback & im afraid to say that, 'miss green fingers herself', is happy about that.Im really looking forward to going back to Brisbane so i can look around a few shops & buy things that i need which are not available out here in the bush...new clothes & hair products! A lot of my clothing got ruined with the bore water out here.I'll be on the bus twelve hours & get in to Brisbane early morning.I will have to find accomodation right away because i couldn't possibly drag my backpack through the streets, it weighs a ton! I'm going to hit the cinema that night, haha...cant help myself, i need the comforts of popcorn & modern surroundings for just one night at least & I think i deserve it. At the weekend i will be at the goldcoast with Ian, so thats something to look forward too & the weekend after that we are staying at the sunshine coast in a unit in Mooloolaba because he his taking part in a Triathalon there.Ive met some lovely people here & im so glad i chose Tambo. It has been a unique, unforgettable experience that ill take with me; However, i'm certainly ready to move on & see more of Australia.Thankyou for my latest msgs! It sounds like you have taken on a hugh project, Lucy! I hope everything goes well on the big day & isnt it just typical that i happen to be in Australia & cant come,Arrahhh!!! So you saw Demi out, haha! I remember him with his flip flops dragging his black feet around that hugh, yet, unkept mansion he was minding.I really enjoyed that day you & michael took me in the porche sightseeing & we called at that old Engligh syle pub in the afternoon. You cracked up at the table cos i asked Demi if he worked out, i didnt no that was a well known chat up line haha!! I'm grateful for all them times, that you have shown me a good time in London, because lots of people dont get the privelige to experience the high life & i do feel lucky & proud to have you as my cousin. But hey, dont be getting a swell head now hehe, cos you will always be brittle boned, long toed iguana features to me!! haha!! I went on a bike ride today & took some pics of the bush land down by the coolibah river trail & it was so peaceful to be surrounded by all the wildlife.I saw wild Buggies too! I had to ring my bell as i i came across aload of cattle crossing my path & i s*** myself looking amongst them for the bull.I took a turning up this dust track once the river ended & i could see a farm in the distance.I made a hasty turn- around when the tortue seen from wolfcreek popped in to my head haha! Anyway my time is up on the computer, so i'm sorry i cant write back to everyone today.Take care lots of love mexxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi there extended spined thin eared lotus!
Sorry I have't been in touch its just because you called me and we spoke for such along time it kinda made me lazy to go on the message board and write with my hunch back with shoulder pain. It seem's like you've been away for ages now especially because its now moving into spring and the months are going by so fast. I can't believe how much you've acomplished in such a short soace of time i think its amazing how much of Australia you,ve seen. How's the love life going? How's your new job going?
I've been really busy organising my charity event, i decided on a celebrity polo match and then a dinner and auction arterwards with a salsa theme to it. Its so scary though organising the whole thing because I,ve only ever been invited to these kind of events so its giong to be hard work but i guess when its for charity you do what ever it takes to raise money. Its happening on the 20th of July so if your back i would love you to come. I,ve got Graham Norton to host the evening which i'm chuffed about. Other than that work is good but the offer for our flat fell through so were still waiting for a buyer.
I'm going up north this weekend with Michael and i'm going to see Lyndsey on the sunday in this new place where she is so that she can 24 hr care.I still can't believe whats happened and how someones life can be taken away so quickly its so heartbreaking.
Michaels got a few more porshe brochures for your Josh which i'll give him when i'm up its a shame i can't get anything for Rory but with the sounds of it he's all kitted up his Ferrari stuff.
I saw Demi the other night in Cuckoo club and he was asking about you bless him. I didn't like it there its awful and much prefer Tramp.
Anyway i'm going to love you and leave you but i promise i will keep writing from now on.
Love you to bits

An Englishman goes to Australia with his wife; they stay in a 5 star hotel and hire a Limo for the day. While driving along the road, his wife asks,
"Look! What is that man doing with that kangaroo?"
The man replies, "My God! Don't look, it's disgusting!"
Further down the road the wife says, "Look, another one!" and the husband says,
"Disgusting! I shall report this when we get back to the hotel."
They arrive back at the hotel only to find a man with one wooden leg having a w*** on the steps of the hotel. The husband charges in and says to the manager,
"Look, we come here in good faith, to stay in your 5 star hotel and what happens? We are driving down the road and we come across a drover in copulation with a kangaroo. Further on, more recurrences of the same thing. Then we get back here only to find a man with one wooden leg, masturbating on your front steps. Well, what do you have to say about that?"
The manager says, 'S'truth mate, you expect a man with one wooden leg to catch his own kangaroo?"
Hope i havent afended any 1 who reads this! ha!
