HAPPY NEW YEAR BEE! Tried texting you back but ran out of credit. Had a fantastic christmas and new year(would have been a lot better if you had been there of couse!) New years day was a really lovely change, we took Murphy with us he did'nt know how to take our Lucy at first, he kept scutterling off like a rat but she soon won him over! Our dinner was amazing and by the end of the day my neck muscles ached so much with laughing! R ory was getting mad cos he knew Malc was winning the competition, he did'nt come up for air! Josh got his ride in Michaels porche so he was happy, now Rory and Josh are equal he he! Helen came up as well in the evening so we just kept on drinking( think i drank myself sober) Anyway have to go love you lots, will text you when i eventually get off my arse and get some credit! Hiya B, It was good to speak to you and glad you had a great New Year!! We did too! Its Lee's dads b'day is on New Years Eve, so there was a surprise party for him at a thai/chinese restaurant. It was fab, great company, and plenty of food and drink flowing until the early hours. New Years day was great too, my mum and dad had a party, Aunty Bev, David, Amy and Nicky came and so did Michael, Donna and loads of my mum and dads friends, it was packed couldn't move for people singing and dancing and it went on til the early hours!! Had a really good time. Just relaxing now with a large baileys!! Carry on enjoying yourself!!

You sound like you're having a crazy time in your new place with your new friends...I bet its weird leaving the family you had and going to the lively part of Australia - its a big change from what you've been doing.I can just imagine you with your long crock feet,bony back and wiry wig travelling behind the parade on new years eve! I am so glad that you feeling comfortable and happy.I hope you're still whistling...we had a great time on new years day with everyone.Rory and Josh had a competition with Malc to see who could eat the most! When Malc came out to sit at the table and easily finished off his big plate and was still hunting for more, the boys knew they were in for trouble - it was very funny! It was nice to see Neely again and have a laugh like we used to.We all had a toast to you and wished you you well.Wish you could have been there but I guess there's always next year! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! I had a fantastic new year on the beach.Ive took so many pics, so ill try sending them when im not feeling so hungover! there was a parade through the streets with live music & so many colours.it was a mixture of hippy & aboriginal themes & even dogs were dressed up with fairy wings & lights attatched to em ha so cool! I even saw this dog skate boarding & everyone was cheering it on like it was a person! I was with my german friend Ina & a scottish guy simon.We watched the live band until twelve & danced away to all the different style music.A lot of people were on the beach, so we headed down to the sands.At that point id consumed a hell of a lot of rum & coke, which simon had put into my travel bottle as you wernt allowed to drink on the streets.so me being me ran off into yhe sea & got tossed around like a ragdoll by the waves haha! sooooo drunk, but i was still aware that sharks hunt at night, so didnt spend too long in there! Went back to get changed then came back & danced & danced until the rum had its affect! ended up hanging off a dirty public toilet puking up feeling absolutely shocking! I went back to the hostel & spent two hours under the shower curled up on the floor! My friends bless em, stayed close by all that time.I refused to move,talking total rubbish about how i was under a waterfall & then id try & be sick again, so i could stay under for longer haha! the water some how was comforting me, cos the sick feeling wasnt going anywhere! Apart from the last part off the night i really enjoyed it.Oh & tv cameras were filming the whole celebration & this crazy guy who had his body painted grabbed me & took me infront of the camera so i could have been shown on aussie tv this morning ha! Had a scrummy breakfast of poached eggs & salmon to try & put some life back into me.Cant do anything too active today! me & Ina hired some bikes yesterday which was fun.Having a dilema at the moment cos i tried to draw out some cash & its playing up! still in credit, but for some reason they have cancelled my card, so i have to call them later.ive been told it happened to someone else so im not too worried as yet.Arranged to stay with this couple who have a farm with lots of animals & no kids this time.Its only an hour an half from australia zoo, so i can go on my birthday like i planned. Ill be with them three weeks, then im doing the fraiser island 4by4 self drive safari trip for three nights.You cant go in the sea though cos its a breeding ground for tiger sharks & you can see them close to the shore,scarry stuff! Going to try & get a job fruit picking after that cos ill definatly need the cash by then. Well hope you all had a wonderful new year! Happy New Year Brooke - sounds like you're having a great time! Are you going to stay with another family after Byron Bay? Where will you be for your Birthday? I'd like to send you some things. Check your e-mails as I know Aunty Gaynor and Emerald have been e-mailing you. They've got the cutest puppy called Minnie. She's a 12 week old Irish Terrier with ginger hair and the longest eyelashes you've ever seen!! How are you celebrating New Year? We've been invited to a couple of parties but can't decide which one to go to!! Might just stay in and watch Jools Holland - sad or what!! We had a nice party at Grandmas and Jak and Josh and your mum came. Your mum was thinking about coming to me for New Years Eve but they've not turned up yet (and its took me all afternoon scraping the makeup and fake tan off Naomis bedroom floor so they could stay in it!!) Naomi is in Bristol for New Years Eve. She stayed in London for a couple of days as well and wont be back home until the 3rd January. G.Day possems! you sounded like you had agreat xmas lucy, in a tradional country house all cosy with open fires & hot chestnuts with mulled wine! okay i went overboard there, but it does sound nice when you are celebrating xmas here in the scorching heat tring to eat hot food! i miss the image of that xmas scene. Gemma as a new man which is good! at least he doesnt live in wath, but he could have lived a bit closer then egypt! A great reason for keep taking holidays though haha! Yes gemma im a bloated bull frog sorreeeeee! so no pics of me here until ive lost the stone ive gained.Im in byron bay which is so lively & full of backpackers & im not used to it at all.Its got gorgeous beaches that stretch for miles & a lighthouse you can walk up too, thats supposed to be a scenic one hour trek through sub tropical forests & million dollar houses on the cliff tops! you can dolphin spot aswell.I went to nimboydia national park for three days with the family & we stayed in log cabins.There wasnt much to do besides outdoor activities. you could canoe down the rapid river that ran through the park, enough entertainment for me for three days. I went down the river on a rubber ring & convinced Jonas & seb to make a train & go over the grade three rapids for experienced only haha! would have got into trouble if caught. oh my god i thoughed we were going to tip out & get smashed over the rocks! Tried to paddle away at the last moment but the current dragged us off the edge. The water was sooo powerful & spun us around, i hit my ass, but we managed to stay in the rings & survive. Brilliant! we have it on video cam too.Made afew calls to people yesterday & ill call yours new years day if i can.
