Really loving waking up in Germany, but not when I know I have to leave in an hour or so. Elise and I got cleaned out of our room and went down for breakfast. When we had just finished, Christoph arrived to help us pay our bill, and drive us the train station. Julie was also going to the station and Sara came along to say goodbye. It was really nice to see Sara this morning when there were less people and stress around to say goodbye. We got to the Kassel-Wilhelmshohe Station, got Julie her ticket, and Elise a ticket on the same train as me. We all hugged and thanked and then went our separate ways. Elise and I ride the same trains until I make one last switch and she stayed on to Dusseldorf. Walked back to the hotel from Amsterdam Central which officially marked a successful first solo trip in foreign countries! I met up with Grace and Ashley to get a snack of margherita pizza which was delicious. Then we ran into Naomi and went to the Sex Museum for 4 euro, and it was worth every euro. We all went back to the hotel to get cleaned up before dinner at Dirty Asian. On the way we stopped for a beer and listened to an all girl cover band comprised of violinist, pianist, and songstress singing Radiohead and Regina Spector. At Dirty Asian we all got appetizers and I had duck pancakes and tea. After dinner we went on a boat tour of the canals which was nice and relaxing. The boathouses along the canal are so unique and beautiful. There are around 2,500 boathouses and the city does not allow more. After our tour we went back to the hotel to rest before going to the bar next door for a drink. I ordered a Dutch beer that was tasty and the rest of the night the bartender Casper provided shots for the bar that he was experimenting with, one was Malibu based, a vodka one, a kahlua one, and a goldshlager shot. We got tired and went to our rooms with a short delay to sleep because our 21st birthday girl was a little sick.
