After a few hours of early morning snorkeling and sun bathing, we ended up at the new Koloa Rum Company store in Lihue. We tasted 4 different types of Rum and the companies Mai-Tai mix. Brittney liked the Mai-Tai mix the most, and Phillip liked all the rum.
After we walked around the Plantation a little we found a title that we bought and were able to glaze before our Tunnel tubing trip. On our tubing trip we learned about the history of the irrigation water systems we were traveling through. Five tunnels were drilled by immigrant workers in the 1870s. It took them 5 years of 12 hour days to get the water system up and running. And William Rice develped a key irrigation tool to provide water from the ditch to the Sugar Cane fields.
We also stopped to take pictures at the biggest volcanic creator on kauai and in front of Mt. Waialeala, the wettest place on earth.

Uncle Warren and Aunt Jeanette Rice So glad you both have the Rice exploring trait. Historically and educationally, it is so developmental. Plus it's a lot of fun! I rate this a five and love you both.
