I just landed in Albania. I am sad because I am not sitting on the beach of Slovenia anymore. That reminds me, I need to tell you about my trip to Slovenia. I had so much fun. The first day I got there, I went and checked into my hotel. My hotel is named Hotel Marko. Once I was unpacked and settled, I put on my swimsuit, and went down to the beach. I stopped at a beach vendor and bought a boogie board, and then went into the waves. I love the beaches in Slovenia, because first of all they don't get as much sea weed, the water isn't polluted, and the sand there is really fine. It was quite scary, because I was floating on my boogie board past the waves when a humungous wave came up behind me, and it came crashing down on me. A lifeguard had to jump in and pull me out of the water. I was so thankful that night that Potoroz Beach actually had lifeguards. If that lifeguard wasn't there I might have drowned. While I was walking home from the beach, I passed a big group of school children. It was so cute because the little school children from Slovenia waved to me and they said hi. When they said hi, I had almost laughed because there accent was so funny. I brought some food to Slovenia that I picked up in France, so I made a sandwich and went to bed. The next morning I awoke and wrote a friendly letter to my neighbors, Danna and David, who live back home. After I sent off my letter, I went to breakfast at Café Central and had a Slovenian muffin, which had peanuts and honey in it. I also had mocha. After I ate, I went by a street vendor and picked up a brochure that gave times for high tide and low tide. Then I went down to the beach. I jumped around in the smaller waves but I made sure not to go in the humongous waves. After playing in the waves I bought a coconut from a vendor. I thought it was kind of sad, because there were a lot of homeless people sitting on the beach. It made me so sad that I went by the market, and bought them some fruit. The market people clapped for me when they heard that I was bringing the fruit for the homeless. The next day I explored around Slovenia. I noticed that in Slovenia, there are tons of Canadian tourists. I then had stopped by a candy shop and bought some Slovenian candy. The candy was a little bit expensive, but my money was worth more in Slovenia than in the United States of America. The candy had an odd caramel, cinnamon, and strawberry taste to it. I then got a ride from a taxi to down town Portoroz. In down town Portoroz, there were a lot of street performers. I saw a little boy who could tap dance really well, so I gave him a little bit of money. He was so thankful. People in Slovenia are extremely big on tap dancing so I got to see a lot of routines. I went back to the hotel and called my friend, Sydnie Fearrin, on her cell phone. I called her because I knew her Grandpa lived in Slovenia and she goes to visit him a lot. I hadn't talked to her in a while, and I didn't know if she was in Slovenia. Sure enough she was. So I had got a taxi to drive me to her grandpa's house. At her grandpa's house, we caught up and talked about our lives. We then had dinner, and Sydnie's dad drove me back to my hotel. I went straight to bed. I slept in late the next day because I was exhausted from the day before. Shortly after I brushed my teeth, I packed up and took a taxi to the airport. The airport in Slovenia was kind of weird because I didn't even have to go through security. That was my trip to Slovenia.
