Amsterdam

This morning was crappy, we both woke up at 4:00am and couldn't get back to sleep so got up and watched crappy TV however we did see the sun rise and yes blue sky and sunshine outside, but don't be fooled it was still cold. We bought some cereal down the street last night so just had that for breakfast and then went for a long walk to the Anne Frank house bypassing where we took our tour yesterday as Trav forgot to pick up his beanie from the bus….

Both Trav and I really enjoyed the Anne Frank house, it had so much history and the layout was incredible, the realisation of how bad it must have been for hundreds of thousands of Jews during that time, it was a real eye opener and the Auschwitz tour in a few days will be bad too but it was good to do it in this order.

On the way back we detoured again but this time to Hard Rock café for some lunch, Trav has never had it before but I don't think it will be a last, he had some of the best smoked ribs he has ever had and take it from me, he eats ribs a lot!

This afternoon we went to the Amsterdam Dungeon. We were not allowed to take photos so I gave Trav my camera to look after for me. The dungeon was good but nothing special, I don't like being left in dark rooms with scary noises and people!! Trav on the other hand enjoyed the blacked out rollercoaster ride and listening to scream like a baby!

On our way back to our apartment Trav realised that my camera and the keys to our accommodation had fallen out of his pocket ….. some where! Lucky the receptionist was out the front on her way home and could get us a spare key for the night.
