got up relatively early, packed our bags and headed into the city with claire and her friend steph. we checked back into hotel bakpak (theyre sooooooo slow!!) and dropped our packs off, then claire and steph and i headed to the shops so claire could get some new jeans, and i could get some new pants....iv run out!

we went to the St Kilda festival.....was so much fun! when we first got there we rushed down to the beach stage, there was a band called Blue King Brown on that claire really wanted to see, they were soooo good!! sort of reggae/drums/soul....amazing!

after that i went to find the boys in a cafe, and claire went to watch The Audreys. i was hot and bothered so really needed a drink! after the cafe we found a nice bank to sit on and watch the world go by, so went to the bottle shop and got some 'refreshments'. i just got two cans, the 3 boys got a 24 pack between them! they found a shopping trolley and pushed the beer and tom down the street in it!!

relaxed on the bank until the early evening, when claire had to go home :-( iv decided that il come and see her again before going back to the uk, when im back in sydney perhaps. we met our friends from the other night, dot, ruth and emily, and hung out with them at a bar watching the cricket.....we won again!!! wahay!!! i had possibly the strangest chat-up line ever... "would your boyfriend be offended if i smacked you on the bum with a palm frond?" i didnt really know what to say so smiled politely and walked away and sat with the others, only to have him dance in front of me for ages! we all sat there wetting ourselves, it was so funny. he danced like someone had put a spider in his pants!!

on the way back to the tram ruth and i got separated from the others, and decided to go for a nice meal together, very posh $10 pizza (about 4 quid!) and it was very nice! we had a deep and meaningful talk about life and travel, then eventually met the others at Fluid Oz later on, where we hogged the jukebox all night and danced until i couldnt stand up any longer! we had been drinking turbo shandies (lager and smirnoff ice) so that didnt take long!
