We wern't really sure what to do in Canberra, so we just started walking!! Walked over the lake which was pretty nice, they've got a big geyser thing in the middle which is a good landmark to navigate by! Walked all the way to the Aussie Parliament House, and i never thought id say this but we should have listened to Eddy! We kind of went the long way round and ended up running across a highway, scrambling up a hill and into the gardens of parliament house, where Eddy thought it would be a good idea to sunbathe with his bum out! He didnt expect the swarms of japanese tourists on the roof looking at the view though!!

We sat and had some lunch and a well needed cold drink, then wandered around inside for a bit. It was quite nice but a little boring, im not really into history and all that but i can say iv been there now!!

Walked back and jumped straight into the pool at the hostel - handy! The temperature was reaching into the mid thirties outside so it was a nice refreshment.

I went out shopping, my legs still look fairly disgusting after the sunburn so Iv been wearing jeans but its just too hot, so i went and bought a cheap pair of light trousers, then had my hair done. I asked for it to be blonde and it kind of is, it just highlights really but theres quite a lot of them!!

Headed back to the hostel and met the boys in the bar, they were playing pool against two blokes, one of which was either samoan or aborigine, about 45 years old, and kept dancing up against me while i was sat down, so i kept falling off my stool!! Not fun!

Eventually left the bar and went to King O'Malleys (another bloody irish bar) where we spent most of the night. i made friends with 3 Canberrans, hayley, michael and amanda, all lovely! they took me out and showed me the sights of canberra, mainly featuring Mooseheads, a bar/club. We had a fantastic night!!

Got back around 6am, suddenly realised that Eddys bed was empty. Having lost him at about 11pm i started panicking, and ran over to kelvin to wake him, only to trip over eddys head and fall into the window!! He was too drunk to climb up onto the top bunk, so had decided to camp on the floor!
