Today will be our last project day in Tinangol, this morning we left for project as soon as we had finished our breakfast. It was very hot today on the retaining wall, we finished early as we kept unearthing ants nests, so we rested on the bleachers for a while until lunch arrived. We also explored the village more and walked through on of the long houses that a lot of the families live in, we discovered the village are the Rungus tribe.
After lunch we started work on a drainage channel behind the kindergarten, it was hard work, but much easier than the retaining wall, when we had finished the channel was 30 feet long, 3 feet wide and 3 feet deep. As a reward Mann from the village and Derek from camp bought everyone an ice lolly.
After yet another visit to the shop on the walk home we all needed a much needed shower, it feels so nice to have a cold shower, but you soon feel sticky again. For tea we had spagboll, I'm seeing a theme here...
Oh dear, tonight we had the awful Tinangol has talent, I did my thing where I lay down and roll my body over, Kenny enjoyed himself and we all had a good laugh at each other. Sabrina and Joe both told some rubbish jokes. The weather was pretty bad which knocked out the generator, as it is very rural this led to a complete blackout, so after chatting for a while we decided to call it a night.
