We decided to move caravan parks within Cairns, coz where we were was really loud (right next to a freeway). We're now at Lake Placid, about 20 minutes from the main part of Cairns, not far from Kuranda where a lot of the main tourist activities are.

Lake Placid is absolutely beautiful - with the added bonus of a bistro/bar overlooking the Lake, about 150 metres from our caravan park. The caravan park has a lovely pool area and is surrounded by mountains. Very peaceful.

Gary's birthday was great fun on Saturday night. He had it at Ellis Beach, about 15 minutes from where we're now staying. The birthday boy had a fantastic time (I don't think he got to bed 'til the middle of the next morning - typical Bock!).

So far we've spent a lot of time relaxing and catching up with family for the past week. I think we'll start doing a few more touristy things in the next few days.
