Day 6 in the Congo:

Today is day six of my adventure to the Congo. I had some good sleep last night but, I was awaken this morning by loud music coming down the street. I got dressed and went downstairs to see what was going on. It was a parade. I went up to a man clapping his hands to the music and asked him why they were celebrating, he said "Independence." I've never really thought about it but I guess other countries besides the United States would celebrate their independence too. I asked him if they also celebrated New Years Day, he said "yes." I became curious. I wandered what else they celebrated that the United States may not celebrate, so I asked him. He said "All Saints Day." I figured it was a day for the saints to celebrate.

I enjoyed the parade for the rest of the day, and then went to my hotel. My hotel is the Hotel Saphir an average hotel in Brazzaville.
