G'day mates hope your all well, its our last day in Adelaide today and although we are ready for pastures new we've had a great time seeing what this city has to offer.
Most of the past week has been spent catching the rays either on the beach (still not been in the sea, staying away from the sharks) or at the outdoor swimming pool which is huge by the way, its no wonder these aussies are such good swimmers as their pools are double the size of ours.. So after managing about 10 laps and cooling of in the 40 degrees heat, (I hope its nice and cold in England.lol) we decided that we would go to the cinema and watch the Borat film everyones been raving about. The film was a great reflection of life in the U, S and A and with plenty of high fives and side spliting moments, as you can tell we really enjoyed it. That night we had a ruby murry (curry) which wasnt up to much, its so hard to find a good curry over here, before heading out to the pub, it was a friday night. About eight pints and three glasses of wine later I started to feel a little under the weather so I headed back to the hostel. I blame it on the poor curry. Dave had disappered earlier in the night with a young lady in tow and im sure on my arrival back at the room their was two bodies in that single bed.lol.
So the next day was spent chilling out at the beach, or you could call it recovering from a hangover. Apparently that night their was a party taking place in the city centre so still feeling a little unwell I decided not to go but the boys went and said they couldnt find the party, so one of the girls came to meet them for a few drinks.
Yesterday we headed out into the hills to do a bit of wine tasting. Now this region of Australia is fames for its wine, so not knowing much about wine we decided to become more cultured and visit the Mclaren Vale vinyards up in the sticks. On our arrival we headed into the tourist centre for a bit of advice I thought that I wouldnt need any after all those years of training at Tescos on wines and spirts, how wrong I was. So with a map in hand we drove around the vinyards and tasted more wine than I can remember..its a good job it was'nt the night before because I cut Daves hair for him and if it would have been that night we may have seen blood.lol. But It turned out perfect and Dave informed me that he would normally pay 20 pound for a cut like that so I will just settle for a couple of drinks mate...
Tomorrow we hit the road again, to where I dont know yet so for now see ya guys.
