Hiya guys hope your all fit and well. Right let me fill you in on whats been happening over the past few days....

On the 10th we had a meeting at the bank at 2pm to sign up for an aussie bank acount. We were a little late as we got lost on the way(all the streets look the same over here.lol.), anyway after rolling in there about an hour late, we had to stop of for a subways sandwich on the way..we finally managed to open an account (can you believe they would give us backpacker a card!lol.) After heading back to the hostel we decided to have an early night in front of the T.V. but the girls in the hostel had got their first and put a soppy romantic film on(come on girls) so half way through we called it a night and got tucked into our bunkbeds.

The 11th was a great day and not just because the sun was out and we managed to get out of bed before midday. Roomy knows someone (a family friend) who lives in Sydney called Tony Mott whos a famous photographer in Australlia. Over the years he has worked with a number of well known stars including the rolling stones, Queen, Arctic monkeys and at the moment he is working with U2, but we will get to that in a bit. Anyway, after roomy gave him a quick call he invited us round to his place to meet him. His house was like a museum with pictures and collectables everywhere, it did have one drawback though a few huntsman spiders were lurking in his garden but he assured us they are harmless. ( I questioned that a spider that did must have a bite onit.lol.) After a good chat( It turns out hes originally a Sheffield lad) he took us for a drive in his car to see the Motts tour of Sydney!. We went past Sydney's Football and Cricket Stadiums, Centenial Park, the Harbour Bridge and Opera House. Alonge the jouney we stopped off for a few beers obviously to keep us hydrated in the heat.lol. Anyway over a cool beer Tony was telling us that he was working with U2 at the moment(as i mentioned earlier) and was meeting up with them again that night, Dave asked him if he wanted to come for a drink with us instead, but I think U2, s a slightly better offer.. but he did say that if we gave him a call on Monday we could be in look cos he would ask them if they had any tickets for us (so thats a bit of a bonus, roll on monday.) After a few more beers (these Aussies say we can drink.lol.) Tony dropped us off at the Hostel but not before a little reminder about those concert tickets...

After a day like that we decided that we had to hit the town again, so we put on our glad rags and headed out for a few more beers(it was saturday night). We started the night in a place called the Gaff (for all Backpackers). It was free drinks before 10pm (how goods that by the way) so being English we made the most of it and drank as much as we could. After racing to the bar to get another free beer before ten, I noticed a guy I went to college with, can you believe that what a small world this is. After a bit of a chat I went to find the boys (Dave was really drunk by that time) and head of to a place called the star bar,we though that after the day we had maybe Kylie would be droping a few shapes on the dance floor, but it wasnt to be. So we had a few more beers and headed back to the hostel.

So onto today and as normal when ive had a few beers, we got out of bed around 1 o'clock and one of the girls in the hostel has a car so we headed of down to bondi beach to check out the surf and catch a few rays as they say in OZ.
