Seen on school sign in austinburg: life is not about weathering the storm, it is about learning to dance in the rain.
Nice day here - not so much due to Womantours, but due to Traci's suggestions. Karina dared to go off route with me, and we had coffee, wine, lovely rest/snack at winery, a covered bridge, a country road, and river-wading complete with tadpole catch!
I'm scrambling to catch up my blogs.. so will do more this evening. Going to share my ohio wine country wine now!
this new keyboard certainly helps make the writing faster. I wonder if it is worse, since I don't have as much time to ponder my words.
Today was really really short mileage. We veered off the adventure tours route - but not before I had a nice ride with Judie talking about the medical system in the USA and foster care. very enjoyable conversation!
Karina and I decided we would take some of traci's advice and find harpersfield. We found the winery (nice wines, dogs, and location - we sat for a good hour enjoying the day), this was the harpersfield winery - recommended by Traci. We also liked the road (307), which had fast and few cars, who did a great job of slowing if there was no room to pass and giving us a wide berth (in a zoomy way!). We also went down to look at the covered bridge and river. Another pleasant chunk of time sitting in the grass, walking in the river, and looking at the fishers (not cathers!)
Today was the first day with the new staff - michelle as the guide and linda as the cook. Definitely a different vibe. We'll see how it plays out!
Yay, I'm caught up on the blogging! Tomorrow I hope to have coffee, swim, and visit this ecology center in Erie. Wish me luck!
