We woke up early on Tuesday morning to eat breakfast and head to the zip line place. The drive went far in to the mountains and was pretty high up to start the tour. We all were strapped in to harnesses and equiped with hand brakes and helmets. With a quick tutorial, we were off to the lines. The first line a normal pace and long enough to be a great introduction to the day. Each time we reached the end, we would unhook and head to the next platform. There were 11 cables, 15 platforms, 2 rappelling stations, 2 bridges, and a tarzan swing. Lines 2 and 8 were the super fast cables with an emergency brake. The rappelling stations were fun because you could go upside down and the tour guides would let you free fall a decent distance. A little scary but worth the ride. Once we got to the end, there was the tarzan swing. We could relax and eat fresh fruit and throw the peels out into the jungle for the pisota's (Costa Rican Raccoons). There was one pisota that was so sweet and was eating candied peanuts right out of our hands. None of the animals were people shy. We took lots of pictures of the view but it was tough to see the background. We were able to get the photographer to take some extra photos so that when we purchased, we had some group shots. This was by far my favorite outing.
On the way back to Dominical, we stopped by a restaurant for lunch. It was a fully covered place with a nice breeze and a waterside view. Supposedly you shouldn't come by this place at night because there are tons of no see um bugs that bite. We got back to the house and hung out around the pool some more. As we got closer to dinner, the smaller group got ready and headed to the Jolly Roger again for burgers, drinks, good company, and played poker. We went back to the house and saw some huge bugs. There was a giant locust, toad, and leaf bug. We continued to drink at the guest house but turned in earlier than normal because I was starting to feel sick.
