After meeting up with Goose in Calgary we all boarded a bus for a 5 hour ride to Fernie. Once we got there we waited for the Murphy's and headed up the hill to the resort and our Condo. From the main town of Fernie the resort was about a 15min drive to get to.
The condo we had was part of a group called Thunder Ridge Chalets. It was three stories with a deck out the back of the 2nd floor with a hot tub (spa) and a BBQ. From there we walked down the stairs and 2 meters to one of the ski trails. Then it was just a 20 min ride on that trail down to the chair lift and when we were done we could just ski back to our condo and jump in the hot tub. Perfect, it was fantastic.
The mountain had 387cm of snow, 5 bowls to explore and ride, 6 chairlifts and the longest run was 5km long.
We spent 3 days skiing and snow boarding and one trying to recover from the aching!
The weather was nice the whole time which was great but a bit of a trade off as it meant that snow was not so good. We just had to pick out the best runs.
The boys got a little adventerous one evening, after getting to hot in the hot tub they decided it was time for some tubing in their boardies.
We had a fantastic week skiing/boarding and catching up with friends.
A couple of photos on here but again see facebook for more.
